Steven J. Samson ACII, CIP

With over 45 years insurance and risk related experience gained from a broad ranging career based in London and Middle East, Steve leads the delivery of bespoke insurance risk advice to financial, industrial and insurance / reinsurance sector clients. His knowledge and expertise is founded on increasingly progressive and challenging underwriting, broking and leadership positions, which have encompassed all classes of insurance, sophisticated reinsurance structures, change management, company formation, contract review and complex claim management.

As CEO and Principal Consultant of RSW Insurance Risk Consultants W.L.L. Steve can draw upon commercial acumen and, business understanding in addition to his extensive technical insurance knowledge, working through complex risk issues to deliver or significantly contributing to an optimal solution. During his career, he has restructured underperforming business units, returning them to profitability, established new overseas operations for Lloyds brokers and completed management buy-outs. Steve takes a ‘hands on’, practical and considered approach in managing challenges and is a seasoned negotiator. A natural lateral thinker and a direct communicator, he is able to collaborate with other professionals and draw upon their strengths to the benefit of his clients.

A Chartered Insurance Practitioner, Steve holds the Advanced Diploma from Chartered Insurance Institute, qualified by examination.
