Nick is a highly experienced, proven, versatile, and respected technical energy risk and insurance specialist.
Well known across three continents, he commenced his career with the Salvage Association in London focusing on marine cargo claims and developing extensive knowledge of the shipping industry, and its stakeholders. Moving into an industry position at a large multinational oil and gas company, he gained responsibility for managing group insurance programs and advising internal business units in relation to risk mitigation strategies and contractual risk allocation.
An increasing involvement with a broad array of challenging oil and gas risks, culminated in his services being secured by a growing dynamic Lloyds Speciality broker.
Known for being detail orientated, Nick has spent over 35 years in senior technical insurance, reinsurance, transactional, management and lead client advocate positions. While he has predominantly specialised in complex upstream oil and gas risks, including rig and platform construction, he also has considerable experience in the downstream energy and power sectors.
Most recently, he was the focal point for regional client service and relationship management for a major international broker in the Middle East, supporting drilling companies, offshore construction projects and taking a leading role with the world’s largest oil production company.
